The Dogs - Past and Present
I'm divorced and have no children, so my dogs are my
'babies'.

Tess came from
the Humane Society of Southeast Texas
(Beaumont) by way of the SPCA in McKinney, Texas because Beaumont
moved all their
annimals there after Hurricane Ike (September, 2008). She was born November 29, 2007. She hates having her picture taken.
She is a sweet,
lively dog, but at age two is still chewing holes in curtains and
tablecloths. (She no longer chews shoes
because
she taught me to
put my shoes in the closet and close the door!)

I got Logan in 2004 from Texas Border Collie
Rescue when he was about 10 months old. He is a sweet fellow who loves
everyone.
He has become very protective of Tess. (Previously, he was quite happy to let Sophie
protect him!). Tess likes to pick on him when
they play

I adopted Sophie through the Border Collie
Rescue - Texas Inc group in the fall of 2000 when she was about 2 years.
She was definitely an ‘easy care’ dog. She never got in any trouble and was a real
love puppy. She died of kidney failure
in August, 2008.

Katie, was a mixed-breed dog who I found wandering
the neighborhood when she was about 6 months old. She was very sweet,
but very hard-headed and an escape artist! She died of lymphoma in the summer of 2004 at age 10.5 years.

(January 1990 - July 2000.) Luke was a border
collie who died of hemangiosarcoma about 6 months after he was diagnosed with
the
cancer, in spite of surgery and
chemotherapy. He had more personality than most people I have known.

(About 1980 - Oct.,1994.) Justine was a slightly
grumpy old cocker spaniel who loved to swim and to go camping, but hated to
take
walks around my neighborhood.
