- This information is available because of the hard work of many other people.
Especially Judith Evenson Habermas on the Nesset line;
Richard Fauskrud and Per Nermo on the Langsethagen/Alfsonhaugen/Hagen line;
Martha Ives Williams on the Svensrud line;
John M. Hartmann, Paul G. Hartman, Steve Judas, and William Hartman on the Hartman/Hartmann line. Bob Gieber (who is not even
a relative) provided helpful information concerning Fey ancestors in the Moselle. That enabled me to link to ancestors listed in some of the
French genealogy websites.
Much of the Kress information comes from the book, The Kress Family History, edited by Rosemary Kress Wojcik, Joseph Conrad Kress, and Philomena Stauner Kress,
and many other people also contributed to that publication. Everett Fey was helpful with information on the Fey family from Michelsrombach who
settled in Comal Co., Texas. His book: The Fey Family 1587-1989, is the source of most of the information concerning
the descendents of Afra, Plazida, and Pius Fey.
The surname pages and genealogy listings on this website were created with a nice, easy-to-use shareware product GenPage Version 2.18.
The 'trees' that are in a graphic format were created with Family Tree Maker Version 8.0. The graphs of age versus
calendar year and the charts containing place-names were created with SAS Version 8.0. (I exported a GED file from Family Tree Maker
and used that as the source of data.)
I would also like to thank my brother John L. Hartman who has provided advice and a place to put this website on his
domain server (
NoICE Remote Debugger)
. (Unfortunately, I still do not understand exactly what NoICE
Remote Debugger does.)
If you have corrections, or additions (especially obituaries and old photographs) please send them to me either
via email or the post office. I will try to get them added as soon as possible.
